Ditto. That is a very nice rifle, so far at a reasonable price.

This could be a very nice rifle with a little work! As it sits now, it has reached it's price value with the researve price!

I am not a monte carlo guy, the classic is my "woodie". Still, not a bad price for the barrelled action itself.
Can we consider it a real DGR without express sights?

The Monte Carlo cheekpiece can easily be remedied with a rasp and sandpaper, although that might create too much drop in the butt. Consider a Whitworth 458 will probably run $850 these days, I prefer an FN Deluxe to a Mark X anytime.

The seller sure picked a weird time to end his auction, must be an insomniac.

Someone could knock that Monte Carlo off, put on a new pad and have a good rifle.

Someone did it sold.
