MHC_TX375H&H and 270gr Barnes TSX
My Barnes Reloading Book have a couple 270gr loads that are near or slightly above 2800fps from the 375H&H.
I think this would be a great all around load for plains game and would work (plus comply) with the legal requirements for dangerous game (I still prefer a 416+ for DG).
Anybody actually getting this kind of velocity with their H&H? If so, which powder are you using?
Thanks

Greg_JI’ve gotten 2790 fps (average for 10 rounds) with 76 gn of RL-15, and 2750 fps with 73.5 gn of IMR 4320.
I’ve only fired 40 rounds loaded with the 270gn TSX, so there’s probably some room for improvement.

What length barrel is on your rifle?

R FlowersMy favorite load for my Remington 700XCR chambered in 375 H&H uses the Barnes 270 grain TSX.
Using Remington cases, Federal 215M primers, 72 grains of H 4895, and the 270 grain TSX, I get a velocity of 2758 fps and groups under an inch if I do my part.
