550 Magnum barrels have arrived
Well after waiting and waiting and waiting which I am not very good at that game the boxes arived.
These are Micheal Scherz first run of .550" barrels.
Ten sets of barrels, rib, muzzle brake and threaded cap.
One single barrel
The 550 Magnum now has 2 barrel suppliers on line
Now it is starting to come alive
Getting better
The lint from the packing is free to any one who buys this barrel since I forgot to take it out before the picture. These barrels are cutrifled

Looking great.....
hey buddy.. tell me a little about those adjustable mount point trotline weights... the things with the multipule holes in them around and around?
do the hole allow them to bit into the mud bank better with the line, or just dive faster
(sorry buddy)

Thanks guys
Jeff you have it all wrong (again)

Those things I call muzzle brakes I did so only to hide the fact that they are not designed to reduce recoil at all or produce muzzle blast. They are computer designed to use smart bullet technology and the "holes" you point out are in fact wind speed metering ports that is why there is 4. Each port left, right, up, and down relays information back to a chip in each bullet and allows the smart bullet to adjust for wind drift and rotating speed of the shooter for a running animal shot. Jeff I thought you were up on this project please don't make me give up any more secrets on this project.
As for those of us that LIKE muzzle brakes just pretent that they don't reduce recoil if Jeff asks.

Looks like it's all coming together. I can't wait to get my hands on one.
I heard from GMA yesterday and my action should be ready in a couple of weeks. With a bit of luck I'll do some deer hunting with the 550 for a late season hunt.

For some reason I think that the smart bullet technology I mentioned is not being excepted here and was a joke for Jeff
