congomikeWinchester demise pt 2?
First of all, I apologize for putting this under the Big Bore forum, but this is where I first heard of Winchester's demise. I was just on the Outdoor Life website and they had a report on SHOT show 2006. Under new rifles, they had Winchester announcing several new versions of the 94. Now the question is, since Winchester announced it is shutting down manufacture of the 70 and 94 model lines BEFORE the SHOT show, why is it that they still have a booth there announcing new products? GeorgeSSome manufacturer's provide advance copies of their press releases to the media to account for the long lead times in publishing.

Iron BuckI also read that they have enough inventory to ship new guns for up to 1 year after that.
I wonder how many Left hand rifles that will be? And in what calibers?

CanadianLeftyNo, they are not taking orders.
I tried to get through and was turned down. I might have had them build me a rifle, but they are now officially not taking any more orders. Period.

SnowwolfeMy dealer told me he could still order all those lefties from the custom shop. But since he wants almost retail they are to pricey.
