Remington Express 375 stock

My brother picked up a Remington 30S express that somebody has converted to a 375 H&H. I don't have the rifle in hand yet,but the green painted stock has to go IMHO. Does anybody know where a stock might be had for one of these?

Is the stock fiberglass? If it is a coat.of paint would put the stock color to your liking. It looks like a nice shaped stock. Nice a slender but with lots of mag capacity. . Myself I would say those bases need to be replaced with pic or Weaver bases.
It kinda looks like an MPI stock. Similar to the one I had on my last 416.

check out wenig stocks.... tip burns got a great AAA walnut with a palm swell for my 30s in .505 gibbs.... btw, the 30s is the same as a 1917 enfield.. ive got a couple of boyds' walnut stocks in jrs sporter designs... think I paid around $100 for them several yrs ago...

The sales guy said it is painted wood but you never know till you see it. It is 5 down so there is plenty of capacity there. Buying one of these could be a crap shoot,but for the money I always liked these. I'll check out Wenig,thanks. It would be great if it was a MPI or fiberglass,but I favor walnut. The more I look at this stock.I think it is a custom pattern.

If it is painted wood do you guys think it worth it to have this stock used as a pattern and stock it with walnut?

since it has no checkering why not strip it, sand part of it and see what you have. you may have nice wouod under the paint?

update:the stock was indeed a synthetic,looks like a MPI,so I will have it painted.
