Tulsa Gun Show
This is probably the wrong forum for this topic, so I hope the Moderators will feel free to put it where it belongs.

Is anyone going to the Tulsa gun show? Wanted to go last year, but family health issues prevented it from happening. Would like to meet other people who post on AR.

This will be my first time to go to Tulsa and any tips would be appreciated.

I tried to find the dates for it last month but wasn't successful. I would like to go to it, maybe even get a couple tables. Thanks.

I've been there a dozen times, Spring show, and Fall show.

Best advice I can give you is: ... its 4500 tables under 11-1/2 acres of roof ... So practice walking - and then, practice walking some more.

Its like walking through a 450 table gun show - "10 times", and that's to go through it only once.

If you start walking and looking when it opens, and you keep a steady pace, and not stop too long at any one table, you can walk through it "once" on Saturday, by the time it closes. On Sunday your legs will be so sore, you'll likely not make it through the show a second time.

If you see something that you are thinking about buying - BUY IT, because it will likely be gone when you go back. And that's "if" you can remember where you saw it. So, be sure to write yourself a note - "row" and "table number" so you can check back on something you saw earlier.

Good Luck

That reminds of the old Los Angeles County Fairgrounds gunshow (closed 15+ years now). It was 5200 tables which equals 8 miles of tables under roof in several monstrous buildings. The walkways in between the buildings were filled with displays of old military vehicles/camps by different re-enactor groups and clubs. It was absolutely incredible!

A lot like going to the SHOT show you better have a list a map.

If one wants to visit every booth one had like 39 seconds at each one.

You owe it to yourself to go at least once.

Are there any booths featuring jerky, knitted items or fantasy knives?

What about soap and candles?

The bane of gun shows!

My wife and I went to this show once down in OK. We were looking for modern shotguns and bolt actions. Seemed like mostly antiques to us.

Bill...yes there is. When Joe was in better health there was very little of that crap there. I think I heard or read where 5% of the show could be non gun stuff. 13 acres is a lot of ground to cover in a criss cross pattern... Wink

Good luck getting a table, most already sold from last year...but give it a shot, I have a couple of times got a table due to someone cancled.

This late, if you can get a table you may end up off on the edges or my favorite...on the ramp!

I remember a few that sold marijuana pipes and roach clips, that was the most disgusting invasion of my world yet..fortunately enough complaints took place that you don't see that anymore except in some states I suspect.
