stubertDo stocks crack on a Ruger #1 in 458 Lott?
I have a #1 in 458 Lott. The stock is laminated. I have had it for about a year. I have a couple 100 rounds thru it. After reading all the comments about bedding and x-tra lugs and crossbolts, I am worried about my stock. Am I just paranoid? Or is this only an issue with bolt guns?
Thanks, Stu

I don't think you need worry about the stock cracking. The backthrust is well distributed on a No.1!

I've got over a 1000 rounds through mine, about 500 rounds at nearly full loading. No problems to date.
I think the laminated stocks are ass-ugly, but to Ruger's credit they appear to be strong.
