Talley rings and peep sight
I think that the majority of people like the Talley QD rings for their scoped DG rifles. I have an M70 Safari Classic on order so are these the bases that I want?:

Also, I like peep sights for close work. Does anyone have a good picture of the one that Talley makes? Their website doesn't.

That sight is a Brockman. Here is where you get it. http://www.brockmansrifles.com/sight_options.asp $125

Thanks, The Talley website lists it for $64.50 which is almost half the price of the Brockman's listed price. Quite a bargain.

Fjold,

I have a Talley aperture sight and it is different than the Brockman Pop-Up sight. The sight I have goes on the rear scope base after the ring is removed.

The sight came to me along with a grip trap that holds it (so it is always with the rifle).

When I ordered my Talley Peep sight, they said I had to have a different rear base. The rear base will still work properly with your rings. Part of the base is machined off for the Peep sight to fit properly. So, the cost is a little more than for just the sight alone.

This may have changed, but this is how it was a couple of years ago.

Here is a picture of the one on my 416 Howell. I can take a closer picture if you need one.

The lack of a picture anywhere on talleys web page was discouraging to me, it is a good sight. They should let us see it before we buy it.
