Rip: what do you think is obtainable from the 510/408 case, using 750 A-max?

There are somebody working on the case, and think they will get around 2500fps with a 30"+ barrel. Your thougts?

I think that is very realistic.
Best have a strong action, something suitable for a Chey-Tac at 70,000 psi, though I think pressures of only 60,000 psi would be needed for a .510/.408 Chey-Tac to do 2500 fps with 750 grainers in a 30" barrel. Just a SWAG. Maybe sumbuddy who know good program could run the numbers?

Yo RIP!
check your left side mirror. I got my turnsignal on and I'm coming by you in the hammer lane. I have 505 Gibbs cylindrical brass in hand as I type, and the 550 reamers will get cut tomorrow. Ditto dies, and bullet mould by week's end if all goes well. I will be busy tomorrow making a form die to see what a 550 will look like and try and get a picture up to Jeffe for show & tell. Maybe even turn a bullet out of lead round stock to make a dummy for the fine folks to see. My gosh, is this a wonderful country or what...? Harley-Davidson is making 8-second motorcycles, Erin Andrews on ESPN in libing color, and a 550 Gibbs just for the doing! Wooooooo-Hooooooooooo!!

That is great. More power to you. More than I want to deal with there, but I am sure YOU can make it work. Good on you for using Jamison brass, and a Manson reamer.
