Which is a better choice?

Easy,
If you want an classic cartridge that does work with litle fuss the 9,3X62 is the one to pick. I'ts easy to find components and ammo for even in Africa.

375H&H is a nice cartridge but has a bit unmodern case design compared to the 9,3X64 A 375 on a 8X68S or 9,3X64 case is much better

Damn, George, are tired of your big stuff already? Does the thought of having a mid-bore just beckon you?

I'll never tire of my 'big stuff'. As for a medium bore, I already own the best of them - the .338 Winchester Magnum!

As if I didn't already have enough guns, or enough projects?

That's why we're called Gun Hobbyists. It's always a hobby, time and money permitting.

Oh, I see, you're just thinking of adding to your collection or maybe a project?

Deputy Al
There's no fleas on the 338 Win Mag, but I chose a 9.3 x 62 to replace a 338 as a bad critter rifle due to magazine capacity--5 rounds as opposed to 3 in most conventional turnbolts. I'm a true believer in Murphy's Law, and that it gets no plea bargains--so 5 beats 3 in my book. A little interlude with a pissed-off black bear in a berry patch that my wife and I could hear and smell--but not see--caused me to upgrade the backcountry armament from Ruger Redhawk in 44 Mag x 5.5" to the CZ-550 with CRF, 5-round capacity, and BIG, HEAVY bullets of the Nosler Partition persuasion at 2450 FPS.
