HSM 458 win mag 388gr trophy bonded ammo
Has anyone tried this ammo?
I bought a box just to try and was very suprised. For a 10 shot string over my chrony there was an extreme spread of 18fps. High 2425, low 2407, advertized 2400. Once zeroed I stacked the last 3 shots on the bull at 50 yards. Looks like a great brown bear load to me. Any thoughts? experience?

RIP
No firsthand experience here, but sounds like a good load. Should work well on any varmint, including bear of any type. tu2

Hey RIP, more than needed I'm sure but what the heck, smoke em if ya got em. Numbers look like a generic 416 and I like that. Light for cal bullet though and thats something new for me. So is hunting with factory ammo. It's been 32 years since I've shot a big game animal with factory rifle ammo.
By the way, HSM ammo is made in Montana and doesn't cost as much as other factory stuff for some reason. Sure shot fine in my rifle.
Using my 375wby or/and 35 brown whelen this fall. Getting some more trigger time on the 458 this winter and plan to use it next spring.
