Which Mounts & Who makes .577 cal brushs/Jags.
Just wanting to know which mounts to use for 602 Brno's which are being converted to .585 Nyatti's, the scope we are mounting is a 2.5 X 20 leupold compact, we just want the strongest ones we can get asthetics does not bother me.

We also want to know what brush and Jag brands are people using to clean there .585's.??

Regards PC.

PC,

You can try the CZ 550 Magnum scope mount magnum. I have this scope mounts on my CZ 550 in .450 ackley thiese are a little bit expensive but great for big recoil.

Or an other best choice could be recknagel scope mount

http://www.recknagel.com/

Regarding brushes, the max. diameter that I know for that is .510.

PC... jags/brushes for a 58 cal muzzleloader or a 56 cal muzzleloader might work. The 58 may be a little tight, but you could chuck it in a drill and turn it down with some fine sandpaper. Good luck with that monster!

A ordinary 20 gauge cleaning kit works perfect for me.

Thanks gents, what is the bore diameter of a 20 gauge shotgun, before Iposted this question I was talking to my mate who is building a .585 as well and I said to him a 20 gauge kit may work.

I got my woodleigh projectiles in the mail yesterday, 1 pack of 750's and 1 pack of 650's there huge

Old 4x4 thanks for the good luck after looking at those projectiles I'm gonna need it.

For those who are interested we have gone for a double taper profile for our tobler 26" stainless barrel, it will be receiver diameter for the first 3" then the next 10" will be 1.150" and the last 13" tapering down to 1".

Really just waiting on the reamer & dies now.

<500 AHR>
PC,

A 20 gauge should have a nominal bore of 0.620". That is the same as a 600 NE. I use a 20 gauge bore brush for my 500 AHR and it works fine. The jag for a 58 muzzle loader is a good idea if you can find one. If not you will need to machine your own.
