458lott ....making brass.
A few questions guys

How do you make Lott brass from 375H&H?
Whats the overall length?
Are Hornady suppling brass?

Sorry if these have been asked before.

MAST (BeLL) makes headstamped brass, along with Hornady.

Search the archives on 458 Lott chamber length!!! Note 2.80" case vs 2.85" case.

Also, read the 450 Watts thread in this fourm and the Wildcat forum.

You can make Lott, and Watts, brass from Norma basic H&H cylindrical, or the Hornady basic H&H cylindrical brass. Trim to 2.80" if you have the short Lott chamber, and run in the size die. Check length and trim again if necessary. Be sure your brass is not too long for the chamber, most Lotts take 2.80" or less case length, depends on what reamer the gun plumber used. I want at least 0.015" extra in the chamber length.

No need to neck up and fire form 375 H&H, just too much fuss.

Pay attention to brass neck wall thickness, the diameter of a loaded round, and the diameter of the chamber neck in your rifle. This is explained in the 450 Watts thread.
