416 Rigby on 98 Mauser on GA
Here is the link Rifle.

Now for the disclaimer:
1. I do not own this rifle.
2. I am not interested in buying this rifle.
3. I am not recommending that you buy this rifle.
4. I am not recommending that you do not buy this rifle.

If I were interested I would want to know who built it and talk with them in person. I would also want to test the function.

As a general rule, people are nuts!

I was just in the shop looking at this rifle a couple of days ago. For what it's worth here are my assessments of it.
It is an original military Oberndorf action that has been opened up to feed the Rigby round. Otherwise everything else on the action and bottom metal are 100% surplus military. The bolt handle, safety and bottom metal. I did not take it apart to look at anything but think I may in the next few days. I also want to look at the barrel to see if there is an extra bbl lug. the bbl appears to be nicely shaped and the rear island sight is simple, low and rugged.
The stock is a takeoff of a FN commercial sporter and does not appear to be original to this rifle as there is no cut out for the thumb groove and there is no recoil pad which on an 8 1/4# Rigby there certainly should be. There are also no cracks in the stock and no extra cross bolts.
In my opinion the rifle is a crap shoot. Intriguing but scary.

Isn't there a company in England, Wilkinson, I think that is making nice looking rifles in 404 Jeffery as well as 416 Rigby on modified standard mauser actions. Caswell had a couple as well as Gulf Breeze. I think they were priced at about $7000.00 and looked very nice to me.

That barrel looks awfully heavy to result in an 8 1/4# rifle, but I guess it is.

I am guessing about the weight but it is very light.

Sounds like a hodgpog of various components-certainly not worth the asking price!!

lemme think a minute...if I wheel and deal a little, and bring cash, can I get two CZ550 SAfari Magnums in 416 for that much $$$? If not, I will be verrrrrrrrrry close. And safe.
