Sako action for 460 wby
Brownells is not carrying Sako actions any more.

Does anyone know where I can get a Sako action that will fit the 460 wby (.579 case head)?

500,
Buy a sako TRG-S in 30-378 Wby and youre right on track. It uses their large M995 Supermag action and is good stuff from what i have heard.// J.G

Karl,

I thought I might join the "rattled brains" club too!

We have received a new reamer for a wildcat I have never heard of before - 458 Mystery!

Also one reamer for a 22 camel!

I am not sure if someone is trying to play some tricks on us here.

Karl,
Too much work and too little good life, that has been the problem. Good to hear that you are up and running with the .585, mate. I had my smith to do some feeding correction on the Big Gun and also added a peep sight. Works like a dream! // J.G

I stopped by the gunsmith's place today to drop off some Talley rings and bases for my 585. He had recountoured the barrel so it now measures 1.1 inch at the muzzle and feels frighteningly light. He will be using a piece of 1968 Turkish walnut that Ray sold me for the stock. I also left him a 2.5 Leupold compact for the scope.
