Barnes .422/400gr and .509/570gr banded solids...
Just thought I'd share...

Barnes .422/400gr. solids - 50 for $30

Barnes .509/570gr. solids - 50 for $30

I bought a lifetime supply of .416s, .458s (solids and TSX) and .474s, as well as .422s and .509s, from Pro Loading while they had inventory and while their prices were lower before COVID struck. The price is still pretty good at $30/50.

Super nice people, great to deal with. Montana is like that. Wink

Good price and the .422 are designed to be easy on the bore, as most Jefferys are .423. although Ive only shot .423 in all the many 404 Ive owned over the years and they all had .423 bores...Some years ago there was a gang of experts telling everyone not to shoot .423 monolithics in your 40 calibers, and in double rifles, and all manor of guff..I would not hesitate and have shot monlithics in my English doubles and my Searcys as well, and yes Ive used lots of 4831 that was claimed to blow up double rifles with a double explosion, all a bunch of bunk, the mistic of the double I call it.
