What is this gun?
It's made by Harrington & Richardson....single shot break action with an exposed hammer....the barrel is thick and is chambered for 32 Ga shotgun but the barrel is rifled with very fine rifling.

There is a device that sits in the chamber that one might be able to insert a shotshell primer and possibly detonate a black powder charge and hence use the gun as a muzzle loader....but I've never used it.....

What do I have.....and is it worth anything?

It's in superb mechanical condition!

I did a little searching and maybe it's a tranquilizer gun.

Any other markings on it?

I'd hang onto it in case a burglar needed sedation hilbily

A friend has a Martini harpoon gun- kind of the same deal, a cool find as a rarity. Now that I think on it, that Martini might be a line thrower instead.

The H&R bore is .526, I believe.

I've used these tranquilizer guns but they didn't use primers, they used rimfire blanks of varying power to propel the dart. Been a long time so can't be more specific about what kind of blanks. Nail gun possibly but I think we got them direct from H & R or agents, vet supply houses.
