You guys probably already know this, but if you don't....

The Ruger No. 1 in blued chrome-moly, with wood stocks, currently averages about $180 HIGHER wholesale price than the No. 1 in stainless with a composite stock....at least if chambered for .405 Winchester. We just ordered two more of them today, one of each, and that's what we found.

So, if you just want one as a personal field use toy, and $ are important, you might consider the stainless version.
