ESP Raptors in the 416 and 375 on non DG
Anyone use their 416 or 375 with the ESP Safari Raptors on deer, hogs, elk or plainsgame?

What was the result?

I haven't used the ESP version , but The Safari Raptor in 225gr is devastating on hogs and I will use it this fall on whitetail.. I used the 325 gr raptor or BBW#13 as it was know on zebra kudu, impala and buffalo. great one shot kills---did use insurance shot with solid on buff

The only thing I have not had complete penetration on was the buff- he moved just as I shot and it ended up being a 3/4 angle shot from the rear-shredded his liver and one lung found base under skin on far side.

PS I forgot--this was in a 416 B&M

running the 225gr raptor @2950 fps

325 gr @ 2500 fps

I have used the Safari Raptors in both the .416 and the .375 and have had excellent results with both.
The 350 gr .416 for a buffalo. Dramatic results, and the 270 grain in the .375. It is definitely a Plains game killing machine. As well it should be.

Awesome!

I ordered two boxes of each size for 375 and 416. I am going to try and get them loaded in the next week or two.

As long as you are not using for Dangerous stuff, give the 180gr Flat Base .416 a try.

75gr RL7 for a starting load in the 416 Rem yields about 3000fps. Safe pressure, room for lots more velocity.

I am just tickled with mine!
