Jeffe,

Let me know when you get it finished and I'll swap you a Rem 700 in 270 win for it

What kind of wood you going to put it in.

jeffe,

Are you stocking it, or are you going to have a professional do it? If you are doing it, are you confident you have figured out the ins-and-outs of stocking a big bore? I would hate to see another decent peice of wood turned into kindling because you "didn't to it right".

Scott,
I think Jeff can handle it. I've personally handled some of his rifles. He's actually built and stocked big bore rifles before. He's even done some work for me.

I know if there's something he dosen't feel comfortable doing he'd farm it out.

Why Gringo of course I do. I will post it up later.

EDIT

I did some work on this ol' 30-30 aka new butt (that is me by the way and yes it is "Miller time" ).

Some shots of a complete custom stock:

Jeffeosso, I meant it in good humor! I know first hand the pain of splitting a nice peice of wood because it wasn't properly laid out, properly bedded, properly inletted, etc.

Hey, are you guys using Hawk Bullets? Atkinson will have a fit!

I LOVE Hawks...what gives with those who HATE them?

A few years back, Andy made me some 500 gr .416s and the first one blew up my sand trap, left a one inch hole in the barn wall and burrowed into the VA clay outside leaving a hole you could easily slide a coke bottle into. I dug it up in one piece expanded to 1.26 inches and weighing 456 grains.

As an aside, you should know that this SAME sand trap stops 500 gr 458 Lotts without failure or complaint.
