Hornady belted magnum basic brass
I ran across this and thought I would pass it along. MidwayUSA is carrying Hornady belted magnum basic brass. Box of 50 for $22.99. This should be just the ticket for handloaders that are owners of the .458 Lott, .450 Ackley, etc.

I have some of this brass and have been making 416 Taylor rounds from it. It works well. Got a little rig from NECO and have been headstamping it myself. I bet this brass would work well for the 470 Capstick.

Andy,

Could you elaborate on the headstamping setup from NECO? I have a Taylor myself, and am interested in something like that.

Thanks,
Todd

Hey Todd,
The setup I got from NECO consists of a set of stamps (letters and numbers) and a special shell holder. Each character of the name of the cartridge must be stamped individually and it is easy to mess up. Had I known that Quality Cartridge is selling properly headstamped 416 Taylor brass I probably wouldn't have bought from NECO.
