sdgunslingerWal , now you can call me "gunslinger375"
Brought a new toy home from a gun show yesterday . I finally found a .375 H&H the dealers hearabouts didn't demand an outrageous premium for , even if it is only a lowly M-70 push feed . (I happen to like that action , though)
The question is now , what am I going to shoot with it ?
At least I will be properly armed if I ever go to Aussie land to blast 'roos .

<t_bob38>Shoot Dakota deer. 375 works good for them.

jeffeossodo you mean what critters to shoot or what ammo?
If it's ammo, build you some 225gr hornady, at 3000fps, and go hunt anything you would shoot with a centerfire.
if it's game, read above

<glock20rocks>Sounds like a nice, yet somewhat underpowered, rabbit gun

Roo's are ver dangerous animals, you will need a stopping rifle from say .500 jeffery on up

ROFL!!! A man after my own heart, figureitively.
You have described why I love the 375. Adequate bullet width, yet a 225 grain bullet is considered a devastating bullet for self-defense, most of the time, at 800-1000fps. I wonder what kind expansion, and or, hydrodynamic shock you could get at 3000 fps?
Only way it could be any better was if the bullet was out of a 458 Lott.
Wonder if we could a couple of the worlds dictators to volunteer for a ballistics test?
Before you try your 375 on serious game, likes roos?
