artRe: Beartooth 416Rem cast bullets at rifle velocities
Thank you JCN for pointing out the need for an expander plug.
Also, to "clean" the lead-ing if any, would it be helpful to shoot a couple af jacketed bullets after a cast bullet shooting session?
What's the catch/pitfalls in practice-shooting the cheaper (than jacketed) gas-checked/lubed cast bullets at rifle velocities (2100-2400fps) thru my 416 Rem?
I'm thinking of pushing the 335gr at 2400 fps; and the 375gr. at 2250fps.
Any possible problems? Lead-fouling? Any special preparations or post shooting rituals (cleaning)?
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

lawndartThose Beartooth bullets will run the race ok.
You might be happier starting out on your excellent adventure at 2000 fps.
You need an expander mandrel so you can MUCH more easily
seat the bullets.
