WillRe: What Scope?? Very Important!!!!
I still maintain you are not in control!!
I much prefer the Leupold with its short eyepiece as opposed to the usual long eyepiece European style. Many guys say that they do not have a problem with the Euro style but they smack me.
I want the scope as far away from my eye as I can get it, and if the peep forces me to move the scope back, I do not want a Bo Peep.

Rich Elliott30ott6,
Would Warne Detachable scope mounts solve the problem? Warne maxima bases are .035" lower than Talleys bases. Warne Premier bases are .025" lower. I think that the Talleys are too high both bases and rings compared to conventional mounts. They are 1/8" higher thatn conventional Leupold or Redfield. I like my scopes as low as possible. Not sure if the Warnes are as dependable in returning to perfect zero though?

30ott6Rich- they might. I'm not sure that would be enough lower. Regardless, I am not fond of the existing rear sight. Part of that is with my age goes my eyesight and I think a rear sight mounted on the rear base will make it easier for me to see. The Brockman rear sight (peep) has the same aperature as the Brockman ghost ring. I am hoping this set up will work. If not, I will return it and have Will fix it!
