blaser r93 as a plains game rifle
along with the s2 double rifle there is a really nice 416 safarie r93 luxus with cape buffalo engraved on both sides this rifle is brand new and has never even been touched yet.

(this rifle will not see any dg hunting that is why i have a double)

but as a plains game rifle what do you people think.

i have a vidieo here called hunting wild africa where he uses the same modle of rifle to shoot plains game ,cape buff and elephant with no hiccups the take down feature was kinda neet as well.

700 Nitro,

I used a Blaser R93 in .375 H&H in Namibia for plains game several years ago. No hickups, no malfunctions, no problems whatsoever. I've never had a problem with it here at home hunting moose, or just shooting either for that sake. Bringing a takedown is also undoubtably more discreet since it fits in a short case, than dragging a long rifle case where everyone can see what you have with you.

If you want it, go for it!

I have taken over 50 animals in four African countries with the Blaser, virtually all in 375. I had only one small problem with the gun that was cured in the recall. A really fine tool.

700, maybe you should get a left handed blaser in 375 or 416 as a backup rifle for your hunt. You could sell that 458 lott to soak up a third of the cost of the blaser.

Unfortunately, there are not a lot of bolt action choices for a left handed person, but the blaser is one of them.

I have used the Blaser R93 in several different calibers, from 223 to 416 RM. I have never had a problem. All barrels have shot very well.
