mad_jack02416 Taylor range report
I finally got time to go sight in my 416 Taylor yesterday. This is a start load and I think it looks very promising.

Dan416Good Job! I looked at the pics on Sporterized Mil. What is the stock?
08 September 2011, 15:30
mad_jack02The stock stock started out as a Boyd's, then forend cut back, grip area reshaped and ebony tip and cap installed. Some day I'd like to restalk it with a nice piece of English Walnut.

lawndartDo not mess with success. Keep the present stock.

Dan416I just ordered a Boyd's. Yours looks nice after the fixing. The forearm cracked off my 416 Taylor. Yes, I would like a British Express from Great American, but the time and effort to finish it would mean I don't get to shoot it as soon.

mad_jack02I understand fully, My plans changed from start to finish, as funds dried up I put off installing sights, and a laminate stock which I planned to do at first to hunt with, but i planned on later building another stock for it out of a nice piece of English. So for now I have a rifle that shoots good and I'll take it hunting till the funds are right enough to add sights, and re stalk it.
