This is not based on fact but speculation:

I suspect the Ruger "375 Alaskan" may be along the lines of their "Alaskan revolver". May have their synthetic stock and gray matte finnish on stainless steel w/ their factory banded front and flip-up rear sights. Then if this sells well, I could see them adding the 338WM. I think this goes along the same pattern w/ the revolver that they expanded to 44mag.

Just a guess though. Anyway, I'm not one to bash this particular rifle and I hope it works out and is well received. I personally think this case design may maximize the (factory) potential for a standard length cartridge in a standard length Ruger w/out attempting to modify the action to squeeze in the larger 375H&H class cartridge. I don't know how far you can go w/ wildcats on this case before you run out of shoulder to headspace w/, but I can see a couple of bumps up in bullet diameter making for one hell of a low cost, lightweight thumper.
