416 Rigby CZ......Can someone tell me the freebore with 350 grain Speer seated to the cannelure.

I want to compare it to the 416 Wby which is about .26" to .28" depending on how much of the cannelure is showing.

These bullets are obviously cannelured for the 3.6" OAL of the 416 Remington.

Thanks.

RIP
The standard 416 Rigby chamber has zero freebore. The throat is just the leade of 0.300" IIRC. Throat = freebore + leade.

I assume that Ruger and CZ both use the standard chamber. I have not done any castings of 416 Rigby rifles to measure this.

This is one of the outstanding features of the 416 Rigby standard issue chamber, along with the 45 degrees per side shoulder angle, and the moderately tapered case body that makes it feed so reliably.

That abrupt and positive headspacing shoulder and no freebore must contribute to accuracy and reliability. I never knew a 416 Rigby that I didn't like.
