375R is so damn ugly it is cute. I bought a left handed Ruger Alaskan to go along with Ruger African.

Going to scope one of them with the Nikon monarch 1-4. The ruger comes with rings - is there a better rings? Something quick detach ?

Time to stock up on the ugly duckling. How did I end up with 2 375R and only one 375H&H ? Probably something to do wih $700 price.

I was just looking at the ballistics of the 250gr GMX bullet in the 375 Ruger...BC of .420 and 2,900 fps. I might make that my Moose load in AK this year.

+1 on Alaska Arm's QD scope rings. I have a set of lows on my 375 Ruger Guide Gun using a Leupold VX3 2.5=8x36mm.

Saw it in Phils camp last fall and ordered one for my 375 Ruger Alaskan as soon as I got back...
