Which is better for a 500 A Square, wood or synthetic? I have a busted McMillan Express on my 500 and want a better alternative.

If wood is superior who makes the good wood stocks? If synthetic is better which manufacturer should I buy?

The stock delaminated inbetween the magazine well and the receiver recoil lug.

I have heard wood is far weaker, but I have heard that wood is just as good. How much is a good wood stock going to cost?

Try sending it back to McMillan and have look it over. It might have been a factory fault. Let them know it's for a 500 A-Square and they will probably reinforce the recoil lug area.
