I have one I put together on a 700 action with a rechambered M70 stainless barrel(was 375H&H)at 23" long.I haven't shot it much,only with 270 Hornadys and H414,84 grs went 2750fps.If I'm gonna own this thing I have to shoot it.Any load suggestions? I can't see shooting anything heavier than a 270 gr,maybe a 285 Speer..what can I expect to get with a 270gr out of 23"?

Hi Rembo. I have a 375 Wby built on an Enfield action with a 27 inch barrel. I don't know if it's the freebore combined with the extra long barrel, but I can load up to 90 gr of 4350 (a load form A square, by the way) in it for 2880 fps with 300 gr Sierra bullets, which puts it right on the heels of the 378. I haven't worked with the lighter bullets in this rifle, it just does so well with the 300's that I never bothered. HTH - Dan
