Woodleigh to Produce .50 Alaskan & 50-110 Bullet.
Spoke with Geoff McDonald of Woodleigh bullets this morning and they are about to commence production of a 500 gr bullet suitable for the large bore lever guns in .50 Alaskan & 50-110 Winchester. It will expand at velocities obtainable in modern production .50 AK's & 50-110's.

He will begin production next week.

Yipee! Now I have a heavy bullet for my 500 Linebaugh which I can't shoot for crap with lighter bullets. More recoil ought to be just the ticket to shrink those groups!

That's good to hear. My Encore 12 inch .50 AK really likes their 570 gr. bullets, only problem is you cannot get the volocity high enough for expansion. Although when you're punching a half-inch hole expansion isn't always needed if the right bullet shape is used. Still, more selection is always a good thing.
