500 rigby????

500 rigby????
does it exist a cartridge that is blown up to take 500 bullets from 416 rigby. A "500 rigby" That might be an interesting projekt

There would be no shoulder to headspace on. Headspacing a rifle cartridge on the case mouth is not a great idea.

Necking up a 460 weatherby to .510 is much more practical. And the brass is cheaper.

I am inclined to agree. The largest "normal" bullet that you can put into the Rigby brass and be reliable is the .475. Give the .470 Mbogo a try. I can't imagine needing more power than that . . . or wanting to shot it!

My last post sems to have been poorly worded. What I meant to say was that I can't imagine wanting to shoot MORE than the .470 Mbogo. Its ballistics are the same I can get in my beloved .450 Rigby and you get better frontal area. Great design!
