Shultz&larsen500 rigby????
does it exist a cartridge that is blown up to take 500 bullets from 416 rigby. A "500 rigby" That might be an interesting projekt

500grainsThere would be no shoulder to headspace on. Headspacing a rifle cartridge on the case mouth is not a great idea.
Necking up a 460 weatherby to .510 is much more practical. And the brass is cheaper.

OldsargeI am inclined to agree. The largest "normal" bullet that you can put into the Rigby brass and be reliable is the .475. Give the .470 Mbogo a try. I can't imagine needing more power than that . . . or wanting to shot it!

OldsargeMy last post sems to have been poorly worded. What I meant to say was that I can't imagine wanting to shoot MORE than the .470 Mbogo. Its ballistics are the same I can get in my beloved .450 Rigby and you get better frontal area. Great design!
