Saeed, i wondered if you could do a experiment ?

all you need is a wheel chair and a guy in the wheelchair, and a tapemeasurer.

Oh yes, i forgot the best bit. LEt the guy shhot the .577 TREX and see how far he gpes backwards in the shot!! Big Grin

and if you like, film it and put it out on the site.

If you pay the airfare, i might be able to shoot the "Earthquake". Big Grin

With a 4 kilos rifle in cal 460 wea, one dont ned to roll backvatds, if the person is heavy enough Wink.
But it is a god idea to put some counterweights on the fodplates, to prevent you from tilting backwards killpc

You most likely be very disapointed unless it was someone very light in weight. I've shot heavy steel swingers with a heavy rifle, and it was pretty impressive seing it swing up and flop the stand on the ground. That said, increase the mass 5 times to that of a man, and it wouldn't be so impressive.

About 20 years ago we did a similiar thing with a red box wagon. Shot .375 through 8 bore and measured the distance the wagon rolled backward.

The fellow who wrote it all down has died so I don't have the exact info but it was interesting.

I believe that some gun writer did the same thing back in the 60's.
