jsl3170Stewart bullets
Gents:
I have read a few articles by Kevin Robertson in which he mentions and presents photos of recovered Stewart Hi-Performer bullets in.375 caliber and 300 grains weight. All of the bullets appear to have retained their petals but the diameter is massive! Does anyone have experience with these bullets?

Stephen PalosHi jsl
Coincidently I'm sitting right now with a buddy of mine, Ryno Pottas who is just telling me he tested one in his 416 Rigby on a hippo just last week.
Bullet weight 410 gr at 2200 fps.
Shot behind shoulder into the engine room and recovered inside stomach. Recovered weight 93% and a perfect large diameter mushroom.
He gave the bullet back to Ken Stewart.

WarriorIn this photo you can see some 9,3 bullets that I have tested. The second last one, being the lighter coloured one due to the use of tin in the jacket material, is in fact a Stewart bullet. Ken Stewart offers his range in 2 qualities - "Standard" and "Hi-Performance". The latter one featuring a much thicker jacket for heavy thick-skinned game.
This one in the picture is the Standard version being the softer one that expands to a wider diameter. In fastere calibers I would suggest that the Hi-Performance version be used.
