I have Warne QD as well as non-QD.

They work perfect, even with a heavy, steel-tubed, European 1,5-6x42 on my .375.

I used the Warne QD's on mine with complete satisfaction, but I don't think you could go wrong with Talley's either.

I have two sets of Talley QD rings. They seem to work quite well.

I use CZs and Talleys.

On the CZs, I replace the slotted mounting screws with hardened hex bolts and I also replace the slotted ring screws with hardened torx screws.

On some of my CZ mounts, the ones I use on my .458 Lott and .500 A2, AHR has drilled and tapped the rings for 8-40 torx screws.

They are stronger than anything I have seen or heard of.

Mrlexma,

What is the thread pattern and where did you find them?

Thanks,

They are metric, and most good hardware and automotive supply places will have them. I just took mine in to the store and tried them on the spot, and bought a bunch of them. Someone will chime in with thread sizes, but I don't have it in my head.

Having a hex wrench in your pocket makes for a streamlined QD lever. thumb

You can even get stainless screws and hexhead bolts for accents. Wink

Old BRNO rings, CZ, Talley, and Warne, all good.

Are the CZ rings built as well as their rifles? I need a set of 30mm rings for my 550FS.

I don't know the sizes. I do know that they are metric.

My method was to take one of the ring screws and one of the mount screws to Home Depot and match them up.

They had what I needed.

I replaced the mount screws because the CZ slotted mount screws are big and ugly and a screwdriver is a lot less handy to carry around than a hex wrench.

The ring screws are way too soft and too easy to shear off, IMO. The hardened torx bolts fix that problem and a torx key is as handy to carry as a hex wrench.

The CZ rings are hell for stout and these modifications make them even stronger.
