11.2x72 mannlicher
one of my favorites.

The rifle is signed Fr Tenhaeff Utrecht. I learned that Utrecht is in Holland. The bbl. is 24" and half oct. Gun weighs 8 1/2 lbs. The forend cap is a horn shell. I love it but it's a nucklebuster!

I had a makeshift target up at 50 yds. with a mining roofbolt. I was just surprised at cutting the bolt into as it's at least 1/2" dia.

Beautiful rifle. I cannot imagine shooting an 11.2x72 at that weight. Mine is a Schuler built @ 10 lbs plus and the full-house loads really let you know when you touch one off.

Try to look unimportant. Your enemy might be low on ammo.

Tom,

The first warm day that you and Fred can make it over, I'll get Charlene to make a truckload of sandwiches and we'll make a day of it. As far as the hunt, you guys both have bigger guns and cahonnies than I do. Smiler

Nice rifle! Looks like something you'd carry a bunch, shoot rarely, and enjoy immensely. thumb

that is simply one of the nicest of the genre that has been posted here...or anywhere else!

I am jealous. But, it gives me some ideas for my upcoming 6.5x68Schuler.
