lawndartJamison's Brass Quality
I have been out of the picture for most of the last year. Now I notice that there is a decent variety of Jamison Brass in stock at the usual suspects.
What is the quality of this latest production.
I am concerned about rim diameters and thicknesses, positions of shoulders, fit in chambers, etc.
Please advise.
Many thanks,
LD

akalinin500gr @ 2000fps loads with Jamison's brass in my #1 458 Lott makes the action very hard to open. I've never experienced that with Hornady brass.
Dimensionally, Jamison's brass was OK right out of the box. Case capacity seems about the same as Hornady's brass also.
Soooo, I keep the Jamison brass for low power loads, and keep the Hornady stuff for full power applications.

RIPBeware the first batch when an oddball or obsolete is started up.
After the bugs are out, Jamison brass is good as it gets.
For example, the .408 CheyTac is made to take 70K psi and is a specialty of Jamison International.
They got that right, surely!
I can vouch for the 470 Mbogo and .505 Gibbs, great stuff.
I just got a batch of .408 CheyTac to play with.
It is beautiful, heavy stuff, and within .004" of max specs.
Just like it should be for flawless function.
It will have to wait for the .395 Bee Gee to be fully tested by me.

CCMDocNo problems with my 600 OK or 585 AHR.

RIPHere is another Jamison specialty:
577/450 Martini Henry "Everlasting," compared to a sectioned milsurp 50BMG case:

GarByExcept for an "old" batch of 500 Jeff that wasn't CIP...the new stuff is, I've had excellent luck with all of Jamison's brass.

lawndartThank you all for that information.
I have some
older .470 NE, 416 Taylor and 416 Rigby that needs a little tweaking.
Hi Husky,
I truly hope to stay up on my feet from here on out. I finally have a chance at that. Maybe I can go back to being a total knuckle head in a few years (hope springs eternal).
