Double Rifle Prices
How much would you guys pay for a well executed Shotgun-->Double Rifle conversion in .450 NE #2 or one of the other low pressure calibers? Around $4000?

Hi Joe...

welcome to the forums...

what action just for my own knowledge?

NO, i would NOT pay 4000 for a 450 ne2.

I would buy a kodiak in 45/70 (2000 on gunbroker right this minute) and send it off to be rechambered for 450 NE2, (800) dies and some brass (250) and take the rest and put it in my africa savings account...

depending on the action, the only shotgun based double (that butch did NOT make) that I would pay a decent amount for would be a 470.

for what it's worth... Butch's custom made doubles can be had for 9500... take that 4000, add 500, and put it in as a downpayment... then start saving for the final payment.

$1000 to $1500.

Or nothing at all if it looks like those Russian doubles.

Thanks for the replies. A side note, the cheapest Browning BSS conversion that I have seen was $4000.
