Cabelas had Barnes banded solids for 404 for $29.88 box of 50 for sale on internet "bargain cave". They also had some 270 Grain 375.

That's a great price for a great bullet. You only need one box though for a lifetime of DG hunting.

They are the most accurate bullets I've shot in my rifle, which means that a box only lasts a few trips to the range to make small groups on targets so that I can feel good about shooting a big bore well. So long the "one box-lifetime supply" scenario.

LOL, I feel your pain Wink, I just don't do that. i worked up a good load & then loaded some to hunt w/. I still have yet to fire one in anger. The 380grNF softs have been perfect on everything I have shot at & just as accurate. BTW, I talked to the Hornady guy at SCI & he swears they are shipping their new 404 softs & solids next month. As much as I like the NFs, they have priced me out for anything but a hunting trip.

They are all gone.
