case dimensions
I have been looking for the case dimensions for the 505 Gibbs, 500 Jeffery, 450 Rigby and the 470 Mbogo and have been unable to find them. If someone has these drawings or could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.

Thanks.

I think ALF posted a drawing of the 500 Jeff a long while ago. Might do a search under his name for the 500.

Thanks for the info. I guess my next question would be what bolt face size would these rounds require?

interestingly enough, the 500 jeffe, 450 rigby, 470 mbogo, all the "big" weatherbys, and the 550 mag, 550 express, 510 wells, 500a2 are all ~.585

...Yep, or same as the max .416 Rigby rim diameter of 0.590", and the .505 Gibbs has a 0.640" rim diameter and case head diameter. Huge.

After looking at the MRC website I see that they offer bolt face size in .534, .604 and .648. So from what I gather the 505 would be on the .648 and the 450 Rigby, 500 Jeff and Mbogo would be on the .604. What other cartridges would fit the .648 bolt face? Thanks for the help.
