Big Bore Boar HunterNew toy...
I have been a little bummed out because the Winchester custom shop is dropping its orders, even the one for my .458 lott. After our morning shooting session, my better half thought I would enjoy a trip to our local gun store as they were having a sale, something there may take my mind off of my recent loss. The store owner had a few of his personal rifles for sale. One called out and begged to be adopted, a Winnie mod 70 super express in 458 win mag. Besides having a bedding job, trigger work, bolt/ action job, and a removable muzzle break, it was topped with a Swaorvski dangerous game scope with illuminated circle dot. Some how I couldn't resist, so my wife and I filled out the adoption papers

D99500Grains,
Did you post that so you could show some animals that were shorter than you?

You may wish to check on your order, mine was placed a month ago and was canceled.

I was originally looking for a Lott, but this will remain as is. I can't think of anything to have done to it that hasn't been done already. I do have a mod 70 in .375 in standard safari, that may get tweaked and upsized though. I have been using the Sako 75 stainless in .375 and have been real happy with the lighter weight.
Anybody have any ideas in what to do with a 375 length action?
