keithv35.375 h&h ballistics?
All my reloading books are packed away, and I'm dragging the 375 h&h to the range to check zero.
Has anyone shot 300 grain out to 300 yards. The bullets are swift and nosler.
What's the rise and drop if zero'd at 150 yards. I generally go an inch to an inch and half high at 100 yards (not science by any stretch. The rifle is a Wby mark v with a 24" barrel.
Any suggestions, just want to know how flat I can expect it.
Thanks

BiebsKeith, I don't have a program, but the ammo charts show a 300gr 375 H&H sighted at 2.5" high at 100 with be about 10-11" low at 300 yards. That should keep you on paper, at least! Have fun.
PS: If you're not prepping for Dangerous Game, load a 260gr Accubond on the high end of the power scale and you've got one flat-shooting Elk and Moose rifle. It changes the character of the 375 H&H completely.

ShowbartGo to Federal website and download their ballistic program and punch in temp, distance, etc... It's great.

akrickWhere is the best place to buy ammo if you don't reload? Feel too old and vibrate too much to reload. Still like to hunt and shoot but $ is becoming an issue. Thanks

Mad DogI've been buying ammo and reloading components from graf and sons, in Missouri. They are competitively price, quick on the shipping, and very reasonable on S&H charges.
