Will weaver aluminum bases stand up to a 375 with leupold or warne quick release rings?

Gringo CazadorI've used them on 375's with no problems that I knew of, with several differnt types of rings. I would guess a many a Pre 64's in large calibers used them in days past with std weaver rings.

MasteriflemanI have a .308WIN that I wasn't careful about getting the rings precisely locked into the cross grooves on the Weaver aluminium bases and they stripped out. I think if you make very certain that the rings are lined up and locked down tight, you probably won't have a problem.

iamgeneI use the Weaver Grand Slam bases, which are made of steel on my 375 with Warne QD rings.
On and off with no problems, hold zero etc.
No problems after 100's of rounds.

The weaver standard rings are amazingly strong in put on properly. I have used them up to 450 ackley with out a minutes problem. More impresive tho is my clumsiness. If there is a way to fall down while hunting I will find it. I have pitched down slopes, fallen head over heals, landed on top of rifles ect. and I have never had never injured a weaver mount. In fact I have never had a scope in weaver mounts shift point of impact.

surestrikeThe strongest Weaver style bases are Leupold QRW bases.
The QRW (Quick Release Weaver) style base is also one of the lowest profile bases you can get. The base is milled steel it will fit weaver rings of any height either standard or quick release. It is the base of choice for all of my heavy big bore rifles.
They are 100% bomb proof.
