458 Lott Ammo, places to buy in the midwest?
Anyone know of a shop in the midwest that carries Lott ammo? I live in Iowa, but will be traveling to Southern Indiana on Tuesday to visit family over the holidays. I'd be traveling through Illinois, to Indianapolis on I74, and then south on I65 to nearly Louisville Ky. I'd like to let some family members try out my new Lott. Some of my reloading gear got backordered and isn't going to make it here before I leave. I know I could find some 458 win mag if I have to though. Anyhow.... thanks!

How about Scheels's in Iowa city or Gander Mountain in Peoria? Might want to call ahead if these are on your route.

If you are going to the Louisville, KY area, a longshot idea might be to contact A-Square as they are located in Jeffersonville, IN. This is an Indiana suburb of Louisville. Their number is 812-283-0577. http://www.a-squarecompany.com

They make ammo for the big bores in case you are not aware of them. Cabelas is now carrying some of their line. Fairly expensive.

As I said, probably a longshot but what the hell!

You might end up shooting .458WM in the long run on this trip.

Good Luck.

I called them today... they are out of Lott ammo. But, if it's a nice place I'll still drive over there while I'm in town to check it out.

Its a decent place, not the best place I have been to. They cater more towards the hunter instead of the shooter and thats why they have more big caliber stuff. The place is about the size of a blockbuster store.
