a parlimentary procedure
I, Vapodog, hereby move that the moderators of the big bore forum create a special forum just for the 45-70.....(We did it for cats.....we can do it for 45-70s as well.)

All in faver signify by typing AYE

Those against may type NAY.

Nay... more forums = less diversity within any given forum dividing important topics that should be hashed out face to face. People who are for the 45-70 and against the 45-70 would both be in denial of a great many things if they wanted a separate forum just for the 45-70.

If the 45-70 at the muzzle is the practical end velocity of many great game cartridges, Why start with nothing?

Uh... homer uh... homer uh... homer

Are you suggesting that "Boomstick" be the moderator?

That's really scary...

Saeed has already declined to create a .45-70 forum.

Besides this forum, you can discuss the merits and inadequacies of the .45-70 in the 'Blackpowder' forum, the 'Lever-Action' forum, the 'Cast Bullet' forum, the 'Single Shot' forum, and even the 'Reloading' forum, if you phrase the topic correctly.

GeorgeS,

Thanks heavens! We've got too many forums as it is, I agree...

PS: I like the 45-70 and myself am a .450 Marlin owner, but don't see the need for the above proposal.

Nay, nothing against the 45-70, but we need another forum like we need another 45-70 buff hunt thread Eeker

If anything, I'd like to see the forums condensed.

Nay, I'm with paul, less rather than more. if you do that it will just be something else that guys come up with to irritate the rest of us. the people that go on and on about "let's bash this" or "this should be considered the greatest for these absolutely stupid and largely baseless reasons" are just like sand at the beach. if you go often enough it is going to get in your short and rub you raw. coming here can be like that sometimes, but like the beach it is still worth it. (here we have pics of guns, there you get girls in bikinis, I'll let each of you determine which is better Big Grin )

I can read posts for what they are worth and usually ignore those who protest too much. So while I have no objection to a 45-70 forum, I feel no need for one either.
