AlanCWeatherby Identification
I have a Weatherby Mark V. Other than it being a Mark V, I can't tell which model Mark V it is. I know it was made in Japan other than that it has been customized with parkerizing (gray), Bell and Carlson custom painted stock, magnaporting, canjar trigger, and express sights.
Can anybody help?

Brian MSounds like someone just look a plain old Mark V Deluxe and chopped it up to me.
BTW,what's it chambered for??

500grainsHere's how I identify a weatherby:
1. Look at the side of the receiver.
2. If it says 'Weatherby', then put the rifleback on the shelf and keep my wallet in my pocket.

Brian MYou Weatherby haters border the thin line between funny and stupid.
I guess this means I'm a Texas oil millionaire and Mike375 is a pimp,right??

Mike375Brian,
Part of my business is running sales training. I was thinking that as a big test, I could send one of the trained up salesman over to see 500 grains to try and sell him one of those Made in Japan Crown Customs. A good test, you agree?

Brian MMike375,
Hmmmm.Ole 500grains seems like a pretty enterprising guy,so if you had it priced cheap he'd probibly buy it and make a few $$ on the sale.
Of course, the thought of actualy laying money on the table for a Weatherby probibly keeps him up at night.
BTW,I know where there are a couple of German made Crown Customs in 300 for just under $4,000 USD a peice. One could probibly get $6,000 for them if they wanted to sit on them long enough.

500grainsIf you sold me a 1950's weatherby, I would ditch the stock and barrel and use the FN action.

Brian MYeah, but it'd still have Weatherby stamped on the side of the action.
