Any opinion on the Z-98 rifles in the big caliber, .458 Win? Would seem to be the same as the Interarms MK-X rifles from a few years ago. Same maker Zastava
Wood stock/blue steel, commercial M98 action, nothing fancy. One cross bolt in the stock, normal fold down rear sight, sling studs in the stock. Not express style no barrel bands, just a plain M98 with a big hole in the end of the barrel.
There's one availble near me, rifle, Leupold scope, and two boxs of ammo for about what I've seen new 45/70 lever actions go for. No I'll never hunt dangerous game, but I do cast a lot of .458 slugs. I'm thinking it might be a bargin as far as DG rifles go and a good cast lead luncher.
Other then the cost of ammo and brass why would I not want one for a big plinker?

A minor correction: Zastava is a Serbian (formerly part of Yugoslavia) company.
They are the same rifles previously imported by Remington and Charles Daly.
