Telly.450 Dakota or Rigby from .450 Ackley
I have a .450 Ackley that I am thinking about making a .450 Dakota or Rigby out of. Will the reamer of either cut out all of the old chamber or will I have to set the barrel back?
Thanks,
Telly

RIPBase to shoulder lengths of the three from my specs at hand, trust but verify:
450 Ackley Magnum: 2.360"
450 Rigby Rimless Magnum: 2.345"
450 Dakota: 2.324"
Yes, you ought to set the barrel back, to surely clean it up, but only one thread ought to do it if it is a 12 TPI thread.
Screw it in one more revolution so the sights are timed, and rechamber.

TellyThanks RIP. I may just see if I can find a .458 Win or Lott barrel for it (CZ 602) there used to be some take offs posted here in the past.
