WHITE HUNTER BLACK HEART.585 GMA
Anyone own a rifle so chambered? I have been communicating with Michael Roden on this cartridge (he is even been kind enough to send me an example), but, all I know is that the standard load is a 750 gr bullet at 2150 fps. Now, for a cartridge of that size (MUNICION.ORG lists it at 3.24" compared to the "standard" length of most .585's at 2.9-3.0"), and made for bolt action rifles, I thought it was in the T-Rex class, rimmed or not. Is it, or can it be, so loaded?
Respects,
Phill

RobgunbuilderI've seen the cartridge and was not overly impressed. BTW I think this actually was a .585 Wells. Even a .585 Nyati can do 2400fps with a 750 gr bullet. The .585 AHR (also known as the .585/.600 ok) can outrun it by a fair margin. The best of the bunch is the 750 gr bullet in the .620 OK which can hit 2700fps. Save your money!-Rob
